During this drum Building Retreat guided by Lowland Shaman Peter de Haan from 27-31 March 2025, you will craft your own drum, find your drumstick while walking in the Sierra de las Nieves National Park, and experience peace in nature to truly connect with yourself and others. Relax and enjoy the surroundings and our facilities like sauna and jacuzzi.
Guided by passionated drum builder Peter de Haan, who built over 2000 drums with students in the last 30 years, you will craft your personal 'wheel of change' with your own hands, with intuitively chosen high quality materials.
Embarking on this adventure means relaxing under the Spanish sun and from there finding connection with yourself, nature, and other drum builders. After these days of deep diving, you'll return home with a beautiful drum made from materials chosen with your heart, and a memory you'll never forget.
On Friday, March 28th, you’ll build a PERSON© drum with Peter. His unique approach will create a lifelong memory, as you intuitively choose all materials (skin, ring, and cord). Each type of skin resonates with a different chakra, and your body knows exactly what you need at this moment in your life. So close your eyes... and feel!

Beside your drum, you will also create your own drumming stick. During a hike to a beautiful waterfall in national park Sierra de las Nieves, you will find the right base for it. Also we will connect to all nature spirits to guide us on this profound journey!
24hrs after building your drum, you will inaugurate it in the Phoenix Fire Circle. During this sacred moment you'll infuse your newly built drum with your energy and intentions. This is your moment to honor your craftsmanship, embrace your intentions, and let the rhythm of your drum carry your deepest desires into the universe!
